Do I need a partner?

No, If you arrive alone, you will make new friends. They call Lindyhop the "happy" dance. Swing dancers are the friendliest people. Coming out swing dancing is a great way to meet new people. Swing dancing has always been a social dance. We encourage everyone to ask new people to dance every night, and we rotate partners in the lessons. It's especially important if you want to meet new people to come to the lesson. People you meet in the lesson, you've already danced with and you can easily ask them to dance later in the night!

What should I wear?

Wear what is comfortable for you! Nice casual always works. Some people dress up, some people dress vintage.

What kind of shoes?

We have a beautiful newly finished hardwood floor to dance on. Please avoid any shoe that leaves black marks on the floor. We especially recommend comfortable shoes, flat shoes for the women as you need to be able to move quickly. We recommend tennis shoes over shoes that are going to hurt your feet or make you uncomfortable.
